Incontinence External anti-dribble penile band

Prosecca Band male incontinence clamp.

A non-surgical external penile band that prevents mild to moderate urine leakage by applying controlled, adjustable pressure to the urethra. The content is institutional technical information for physicians, hospitals and procurement teams.

01 Overview

A non-invasive external band against urine leakage.

The Prosecca Band is a continence band that requires no surgery and is applied externally to the penile shaft to manage urine leakage (dribbling) in mild and moderate male urinary incontinence. Via the pressure pad on the underside of the band it applies gentle, adjustable pressure to the urethra; this pressure reduces urine leakage without closing the urethra completely, so the band can be loosened to allow normal voiding when needed.

Manufactured in Germany (Medintim), the band is light, durable and easy to clean thanks to its skin-friendly, latex-free material, and is supplied with a practical storage case. The product is a patient-applied solution that requires no implant or surgery. Lisa Health provides hospitals and physicians with documented supply of the product and institutional documentation support.

02 Key features

Comfort, adjustability and hygiene.

  • Adjustable hook-and-loop (Velcro®) strap: the diameter and the pressure on the urethra are adjusted to the individual.
  • Latex-free: skin-friendly material; reduces the risk of sensitivity and allergy.
  • Light and slim design: discreet use that is not noticeable when worn.
  • All-day use: comfort while sitting, walking, running or exercising.
  • Cleanable and reusable: smooth surface, easy cleaning with soap and warm water.
  • Practical storage case: supplied with a case for hygienic storage after drying.

03 Indication and context of use

Management as an alternative or a complement to surgery.

The final indication and patient suitability are determined solely by a specialist physician. The contexts in which the band is most often considered are summarised below.

  • Mild to moderate stress incontinence: control of urine leakage during daily activity.
  • Urge-type dribbling: support in mild to moderate leakage.
  • Post-prostatectomy dribbling: non-invasive management during postoperative recovery.
  • Pelvic floor support: adjunct use alongside a pelvic floor exercise programme in suitable patients.

04 Use and care

Correct positioning and circulatory safety.

The band is opened and easily passed over the penis; the pressure pad is placed at the mid-section on the underside of the penile shaft and closed with the hook-and-loop strap. The band should be tight enough to prevent dribbling but not so tight as to cause pain. So that circulation is not affected, loosening or removing the band at regular intervals is recommended. It is cleaned with warm water and soap before first use and after every use; once dry, it is placed in the storage case.
